Alan H. Rolnick received his B.A. degree from the John Hopkins University in 1972. He is a former journalist who was with the New York Times from 1977 to 1984. He obtained his Juris Doctor from the University of Miami in 1987, magna cum laude, where he was managing editor of the University of Miami Law Review, received the Order of the Coif and the J.B. Spence Scholarship, and was inducted into the Society of Wig and Robe. Prior to joining Sacher Zelman as a director in 2003, Mr. Rolnick was a partner and managing partner of Hanzman & Criden from 1995 until 2003, where he concentrated his practice on the representation of plaintiffs in class actions. From 1987 to 1995, Mr. Rolnick was associated with Greenberg, Traurig in Miami, where he was litigation counsel to business clients including Chase Manhattan Bank, U.S. Sugar, Consolidated Cigar, the Rouse Company and Continental Airlines. From 1992 until 1998, Mr. Rolnick was litigation counsel to the South Florida Business Journal. Mr. Rolnick has extensive experience representing plaintiffs and defendants in class actions.
